SABA PRESENTS “BOTANICAL FREQUENCIES” AT THE FUORISALONE 2026
An immersive art and design journey into the forms and frequencies of the botanical world.
On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2026, Saba presents Botanical Frequencies, a captivating installation that explores the dialogue between art and design, translating the language of botany into forms, materials, and chromatic vibrations. The result is an experience that invites contemplation and a deeper connection with nature. Botanical Frequencies unfolds like a visual and material composition, where organic elements, artworks, natural color palettes and sculptural volumes come together to create a harmonious narrative in dialogue with the surrounding living environment.
Oasi: the heart of the outdoor project
At the heart of the space is Oasi, the new modular outdoor seating system designed by Robin Rizzini. Conceived as a landscape of wellbeing and inner calm, Oasi interprets outdoor space as a welcoming and flexible retreat. Its organic shape and modular design allow for dynamic configurations, while always maintaining a strong expressive presence. A distinctive feature of the project is the integration of natural materials such as cork, used for side tables and plant holders that incorporate greenery, strengthening the direct dialogue with botanical life. The seating system, with fully removable covers and designed according to principles of sustainability, is created to ensure a seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces. This is also achieved through the use of technical fabrics and textile details such as the soft quilted throw, which can also function as a cylindrical lumbar cushion when needed.
Forms and colors: the Teatro Magico collection extends to the outdoors
Alongside Oasi, the setup features the sculptural pieces from the Teatro Magico collection, designed by 967arch, now enriched with new finishes and variations. The table in the new Havana shade introduces a warm, enveloping tone that evokes depth and a sense of protection, while the new outdoor side tables, made of ceramic glaze on stoneware, translate the vitality of the natural world into a color palette inspired by sky, vegetation, earth, and flowers. Designed to interact with one another, these elements create dynamic compositions where material and light come together to shape an ever-evolving domestic landscape.
Art and nature: the contribution of Júlia Martins Miranda
Júlia Martins Miranda, the Brazilian guest artist of the project, presents three previously unseen paintings that interpret the botanical theme and the color palettes of Saba’s new collections. Her work celebrates the organic realm through vibrant compositions inspired by poetry, music, and memories of her place of origin. In her canvases, close-up views of vegetation and fluid forms transform into emotional landscapes through intense fields of color. Natural detail thus becomes an absorbing experience, amplifying the dialogue between art and design.
A botanical Wunderkammer
Within the space, the Anam modular bookcase designed by Federico Peri becomes the centerpiece of a true botanical wunderkammer: a curated collection of artworks, sculptures, and natural and mineral elements that become objects of contemplation and discovery, transforming observation into experience.
Botanical images and narrative visions: the new Saba emotional campaign
Completing the experience, a suggestive area featuring the new Voilà armchairs by Nicola Pavan hosts the video premiere and a photo preview of Saba’s new emotional campaign, shot by photographer Piergiorgio Sorgetti and set in a evocative botanical garden. These are accompanied by details of flowers and plants, offering an intimate perspective on the suggestive power of nature. A visual narrative that extends the theme of the installation into a more sensory dimension, expressed through a highly immersive language.
Botanical Frequencies is an invitation to slow down, observe, and let oneself be immersed in a landscape where design and art become tools for rediscovering an authentic connection with the environment.
