Cime Emotional Campaign

Cime, the new carpet collection, hand-knotted on a loom with the pibiones technique, by designers Zanellato/Bortotto and produced in collaboration with the Mariantonia Urru textile laboratory, is the protagonist of Saba's new emotional campaign.

As previously done for the Vela sofa, the designers also drew on the nautical world for this project, this time inspired by lugsails. Characteristic of the Adriatic, lugsails held particular functions, including that of establishing a system of immediate recognition at sea. The graphics of the three carpets that make up the collection refer to the symbols and colors of the sails that identified fishermen families of the Venetian laguna, especially of the Chioggia nautical center. However, what really excites visually and in a tactile form, is the ancient Sardinian technique called Pibiones, handed down by generations of women.

The chosen setting for the new emotional campaign is the Giardino Sonoro in San Sperate, Sardinia. Mattia Zoppellaro's images narrate, with an evocative touch, the statuesque and quiet presence of the textile elements that find a home among the engraved sculptures of Pinuccio Sciola. In the alternation of twines, materials and combinations that seem to have always belonged to this magical art space, unexpected and spontaneous harmonies are born.

After the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera, Carlo Mollino's Teatro Regio in Turin and the Compagnia della Vela on the island of San Giorgio in Venice, the new exceptional location expands on a tale aimed at creating a link between territory and product, a dialogue between architecture, function and poetry that is never expected.
