Sergio Bicego
Born in 1953, he left formal education and began his career in the upholstered furniture industry. Fascinated by the world around him, he devoted himself with enthusiasm to the search for original forms and solutions, collaborating with various companies. In 1991 he opened his own studio near Vicenza as an independent designer, and 1993 marked his encounter with Saba Italia. New challenges and inspirations led to the creation of innovative modular systems such as My Taos, Ananta, Limes, Pixel, and the iconic New York sofa. His creations stem from a reflection on the new desires that drive people to live more informally, supported by technical insights that allow forms to be renewed with simple gestures, anticipating the contemporary concept of flexibility.
